I used Sunita's Travel Agency to book a flight from New York to Guyana scheduled to leave Monday morning at 1:00 AM. I received notification that the flight was delayed until 6:00 AM and I should arrive at the airport at 2:00AM to check in. After spending over 5 hours at the airport, I finally got a hold of the Dynamic Staff checking in the Venezuela flight and she said the Guyana Flight was cancelled but had no explanation. When I contacted Sunita's Travel Agency, the staff told me it was my fault and I probably missed the flight. This is false and a flat out lie. The flight was cancelled. The travel agency did not provide any information about my cancelled flight and provided no compensation. I was enraged and went in personally to the office where many others were complaining. The owner was hiding and the staff was not resolving the situation at all. Do not use Sunita's Travel Agency, they are unprofessional and have awful customer service
Terrible customer care and service. This review is based on my recent experience of helping my mother book travel tickets abroad. I offered to book the tickets online through the airline themselves, but my mother felt better to go through Sunita travel agency because she has been using them for years. When the travel date approached my father was hospitalized and of course my parents couldn't make the trip. My mother went into the agency and told them the situation and Sunita Travel told her that they would help her. It is now 2 1/2 weeks later and there has been no help. Someone at the agency actually put my mother on hold for close to and hour without ever responding back to her. She had to hang up and call back and the agent rushed her off the phone. The purpose of using a travel agent is for ease of booking tickets and handling problems that could potentially arise. It seems everything runs smoothly when no problems come up, but when they do your better off booking it online yourself because from this experience I can say it would have been better off doing that in the first place, but of course hindsight is always 20/20. When looking for an excellent travel agent you have to factor in customer service and care in both good and bad times. Time to make a switch to someone else.
I've been booking travel with Sunita for years. Professional service and always the lowest prices. Great location right off Liberty Ave. You can make your reservation by phone and then pick up at the office.
