Daniel Caesar’s latest critically acclaimed album NEVER ENOUGH is his highest charting release to date—debuting at #2 on Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and Top 15 on Billboard 200 Chart upon release. The album marked “ the biggest sales debut for a male R&B artist this year”. NEVER ENOUGH was produced by Caesar alongside Dylan Wiggins, with additional collaborations from Summer Walker, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Omar Apollo, serpentwithfeet, and Mustafa. It features singles “Do You Like Me?,” “Let Me Go,” and “Valentina,” as well as viral song “Always,” which climbed to #1 on Genius’ Trending Lyrics Chart and peaked at #13 on Billboard Hot R&B Songs Chart and Top 25 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart.

Daniel Caesar Announces ‘Superpowers World Tour’ Dates

Daniel Caesar has unveiled the dates for his Superpowers World Tour – Leg 2: U.S & Canada. 

The 33-date tour, produced by Live Nation, begins Aug. 29 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Murat Theatre at Old National Centre. From there, Caesar will play across North America, hitting cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Vancouver, Toronto and Washington, D.C.

The tour concludes Oct. 19 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at The Met. 

Caesar is bringing some special guests on the road for select stops, including Orion Sun, Omar Apollo, Montell Fish , Flying Lotus, Moses Sumney and Charlotte Day Wilson .

Presale tickets for the Superpowers World Tour  will be available beginning Tuesday, June 13, at 9 a.m. local time. General onsale begins Friday, June 16, at 9 a.m. local time.

Caesar’s upcoming tour will support his latest album,  Never Enough , released April 7 on Hollace Inc./Republic Records. The album includes features from Ty Dolla $ign, serpentwithfeet and Omar Apollo.  

Three days after the album’s release, Caesar shared a bonus version containing three extra tracks, including 2022’s “ Please Do Not Lean ” featuring BadBadNotGood, “Always” featuring Summer Walker, and “Valentina” featuring Rick Ross.

The latter two tracks are remixes of originals that appear on the album.

Never Enough debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. The album follows his 2019 sophomore album, CASE STUDY 01 . The project included his chart-topping duet with Brandy, “ Love Again .”

Caesar released his debut album, Freudian , in 2017.

Produced by Live Nation, the 33-date tour kicks off on August 29 at Murat Theatre at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, making stops across the U.S. in Milwaukee, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Boston, and more, before wrapping up in Philadelphia at The Met Philadelphia on October 19.

Canadian Singer-Songwriter Serenaded the Crowd with His Romantic R&B Sound

Like most people who have fallen in love with Daniel Caesar’s dreamy, R&B sound, I first discovered the Canadian singer’s soul when listening to him croon about his blue jeans in 2016. As a 16-year-old with a naive view of love and relationships, hearing about a forever kind of love through lyrics around ever-lasting “Japanese Denim” felt like a romantic epiphany. 

As I’ve aged, he’s continued to have a similar effect on me, and his audience has grown. 

Performing at the bowl on Saturday, Sept. 23, Caesar really embodied his lulling, romantic melodies. He swayed as he sang, surrounded by fog and mist, with blurry, dreamlike clouds and home videos playing on screens bordering the center stage that was walled in by a canopy of flowy, sheer curtains. 

Behind the fabric, Caesar was just a silhouette against a backdrop of his intimate, sonic mix of influences — soul, R&B, gospel, and rock. His music feels so head-in-the-clouds — if I can get away with using that as an adjective — so meditative and airy. 

The stage’s set-up, and the prominence of Caesar’s gorgeous voice that rang out over quieter instrumentals, spotlighted the singer’s pensive poeticism, and the daydreamy feelings his music conveys. 

From his reflective, slow heartache songs — beginning with “Let Me Go,” a hit on his 2023 album NEVER ENOUGH, about exhaustive dreams and losing sleep over a sticky breakup — to the tracks that tore down the curtains and brought in movement, strobe lights, electric guitar, and a keyboard, Caesar’s melodies captured and kept the crowd’s starry-eyed attention the whole way through. 

What came after the curtain fall (literally, stagehands came and ripped them down about halfway through the set) was his punchier and more experimental discography, starting with “Cyanide,” a deep, layered, and catchy tune about a spiritual and easy kind of love from his 2019 existential album CASE STUDY 01. 

To me, the last few songs he played were his best: the essential tracks from his Grammy-nominated first album, Freudian , inspired and catalyzed by his decision to leave home and question his faith at 17. 

As his debut album, he really made his mark, producing some of his most popular songs — “Get You” and “Best Part” sitting at the top — that was mesmerizing to hear live even without the vocal accompaniment of the songs’ featured artists (Kali Uchis and H.E.R.). 

But his new album made an impression, too. Now 28 years old, Caesar has really matured, and so has his music. Songs from NEVER ENOUGH came across as a grown-up edition of Caesar’s classic, heavy, introspective, and dreamy sound. Those mature, reflective musings were especially present in the heartbreaking serenade “Always,” which brought out the phone flashlights and closed out the set on a sentimental note. 

And, yes, he did play “Japanese Denim,” to the delight of my inner 16-year-old.

On the heels of his critically acclaimed album Never Enough , Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Daniel Caesar announces leg two of his global outing – Daniel Caesar Presents Superpowers World Tour – Leg 2: U.S and Canada.

Produced by Live Nation, the 33-date tour kicks off on August 29 at Murat Theatre at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, making stops across the U.S. in Milwaukee, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Boston, and more, before wrapping up in Philadelphia at The Met Philadelphia on October 19.

The tour will also include three performances in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto with some special guests.

Omar Apollo and Montell Fish will join Caesar in NYC, Flying Lotus and Orion Sun will grace the LA stop, and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena performance will include Charlotte Day Wilson together with Canadian jazz group BADBADNOTGOOD and Moses Sumney. Montell Fish and Orion Sun will support various shows of the run.

The Canadian R&B star is doing a victory lap, after achieving his highest charting release , with Never Enough debuting at No.2 on Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and Top 15 on Billboard 200 Chart upon release.

Never Enough was produced by Caesar alongside Dylan Wiggins, with additional collaborations from Summer Walker , Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Omar Apollo, serpentwithfeet, and Mustafa. It features singles “Do You Like Me?,” “Let Me Go,” and “Valentina,” as well as the viral song “Always,” which climbed to No.1 on Genius’ Trending Lyrics Chart and peaked at No.13 on Billboard Hot R&B Songs Chart and Top 25 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart.

“While ‘Never Enough’ continues Caesar’s poignant thread of heartbreak, riddled with philosophical allusions, the release feels like his most personal yet — driven home by the production and instrumentation credits on almost every track,” writes Variety .

Following the album release, Caesar embarked on the “Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions” underplay tour, performing the new album in full for fans with sold-out shows across North America and Europe.

Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale beginning Tuesday, June 13. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, June 16 at 9 am local time at danielcaesar.com.

Daniel Caesar Is Bringing His Album ‘Never Enough’ On His ‘Superpowers World Tour’

Daniel Caesar’s got a new album out and he just announced a tour to go with it. Shortly before the release of Never Enough , which landed on Uproxx’s Best R&B Albums Of 2023 , the Canadian crooner went on his Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions mini-tour, promising a “real tour” would arrive imminently. Today, he announced the dates for his Superpowers World Tour, on which he’ll be joined by Omar Apollo, Orion Sun, Montell Fish, Moses Sumney, and Charlotte Day WIlson, who’ll be joined by BADBADNOTGOOD for Caesar’s hometown show in Toronto.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 16 after a presale beginning Tuesday, June 13. You can get more information here .

Daniel Caesar has announced a lengthy run of 2023 tour dates across North America.

The 33-date trek commences on August 29th in Indianapolis before making stops in cities including Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, New York, Philadelphia, and more. He’ll be joined by a rotating cast of opening acts including Omar Apollo, Moses Sumney , Flying Lotus, Montell Fish, Orion Sun, and Charlotte Day Wilson (with BADBADNOTGOOD).

A Live Nation pre-sale begins Wednesday, June 14th (use code DISCO ), with general sale beginning on Friday, June 16th via Ticketmaster . Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Although Daniel Caesar is already midway through his 2023 ‘Superpowers Tour,’ it isn’t too late to catch him live.

The 28-year-old R&B icon has 18 concerts remaining on the North American leg of his international tour this fall.

In April, Caesar released his third studio album “Never Enough.”

Comprised of 15 tracks, the 28-year-old shows off his powerful vocals over a number of sonically diverse sounds.

In the lead track, “Ocho Rios,” Caesar croons over swooning guitars and powerful drums. Shortly after, he veers toward more traditional R&B with the ballad “Valentina.” Personally, we were most impressed by the dreamy, slowed-down “Cool.”

Clearly, Caesar has a wide range of influences — some songs are perfect for a kickback at the beach while others would fit in more on the dance floor — but the connective tissue here is his impressive voice.

Multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Daniel Caesar is on a journey of self-actualization. He’s built his name across the gamut of contemporary R&B—contemplative soul and evocative rock to intergalactic alternative and understated pop—with artistry at his core.
