Playboi Carti announces "Antagonist Tour" stop at T-Mobile Center
July 12 , 2023
Kansas City, Mo. (July 12, 2023)—Today, genre-defying rapper Playboi Carti has announced his upcoming fall 2023 “Antagonist Tour” including Sept. 30 date at T-Mobile Center. This is Playboi Carti’s first headline tour since 2021, where he took several cities by storm in support of his first #1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart Whole Lotta Red. The album, released on Christmas day in 2020, sold 100,000 units and received 160 million global streams within its first week. Coming off the heels of headlining several premiere festivals including Rolling Loud California (LA), Lyrical Lemonade SummerSmash (Chicago), Wireless Festival (London) and more, Carti will continue to wow audiences across the globe with electric live performances and unique fan experiences.
Support for the tour includes rappers Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang, which will be their first time hitting the road as an Opium Collective. Over the past few years, these rising artists have garnered a passionate fan base and widespread acclaim. Ken Carson’s most recent studio album X landed him a spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and Destroy Lonely’s breakout success this year includes the release of his highly anticipated debut album, If Looks Could Kill, which reached No.1 on Apple Music and helped earn him his first spot on the Billboard 200. Homixide Gang, a rap duo from Atlanta, released their mixtapes Homixide Lifestyle in 2022 and Snot or Not in 2023. Carson, Lonely, and Homixide Gang have also been touring several major festivals including Bonnaroo, Wireless, Rolling Loud and more.
Tickets go on sale Friday, July 14 at www.t-mobilecenter.com .

Playboi Carti new music
In February, Atlanta-based DJ Swamp Izzo revealed in an interview that “Music” had been completed according to Our Generation Music .
Five months later, it has yet to be released to the public.
Still, we know a little bit about it, thanks to an interview Carti conducted with XXL Magazine in April 2022.
“Love. Sex. Drugs. Changes in my life,” are the topics he’s planning on covering according to the tell-all.
“I’ve been rapping about going to rehab…I want this album to make everyone feel free. I hope this album brings peace to the world, honestly. I’m in love with what I’m doing. Like I told you, you can’t put a genre alternative [on me].”
Playboi Carti controversy
The 26-year-old star has had a bit of legal trouble recently.
Pitchfork reported that this tour will be Carti’s first headlining jaunt “since his arrest in February for allegedly assaulting and choking his pregnant girlfriend at the end of 2022.”
Following the incident, Carti “was booked on charges of felony aggravated assault and hindering a person making an emergency telephone call.”
He has denied the charges through his lawyer.

Playboi Carti Reschedules Antagonist Tour Into 2024
By Hattie Lindert
Playboi Carti has rescheduled his Antagonist Tour into 2024. The tour was originally set to begin September 6 in Denver, Colorado, and stop in more than a dozen U.S. cities before moving to Europe. Now, the tour will start with a European leg in November, with North American dates kicking off in mid-January. See a full list of the updated dates below.
First announced in July, the Antagonist Tour features support on select dates from Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang, all of whom are signed to Playboi Carti’s Opium Records. The tour is Carti's first set of headlining dates since he was arrested in 2022 on felony assault charges after allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend. The rapper’s lawyer has denied the allegations.

Playboi Carti just announced his 2023 ‘Antagonist Tour.’ Get tickets now
We’re calling it now — fall 2023 is officially Hip-Hop season.
In addition to the star-studded upcoming Hip Hop 50 concerts at Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden , Playboi Carti just announced his 28-concert ‘Antagonist Tour’ that will take him all over North America from Sept. 6 through Oct. 20.
Right before the U.S. leg of Carti’s tour wraps up, he’s slated to drop into the Big Apple and headline at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
The tour, which comes in support of Carti’s upcoming fourth studio album “Music,” will be his first since 2021’s ‘Narcissist Tour.’
And if you want to hear “Magnolia,” “Location,” “Sky” and cuts from the new record, we’re here to help you grab tickets today .
Tickets are officially available for all North American concerts are officially available on Vivid Seats.

A complete calendar of all upcoming Playboi Carti 2023 ‘Antagonist Tour’ dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.
Prior to the run, Carti is set to top an impressive bill at the 2023 Rolling Loud Festival .
Taking place July 21-23 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, Carti will share headlining duties with Travis Scott , A$AP Rocky, Lil Durk , Don Toliver , Lil Uzi Vert and many, many more.
If you want last-minute Rolling Loud passes, they’re available for purchase right here, right now.
On select dates, Playboy Carti will be joined by his fellow Opium Record label mates Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang.
To familiarize yourself with their sounds, we found each artists’ most streamed song on Spotify.
You can listen to them below:
Ken Carson: “Yale”
Destroy Lonely: “NOSTYLIST”
Homixide Gang: “Lifestyle”
Remember how we said fall 2023 was Hip-Hop season?
Well, we barely scratched the surface.
Here are just five acts you won’t want to miss live these next few months.
• Drake with 21 Savage
• Doja Cat with Ice Spice
• Wu-Tang Clan with Nas
• Trippie Redd

Though no name has been officially announced, fans will note that the project has at varying points been referred to under several potential titles including Music and Narcissist .
Speaking with Vanessa Satten for XXL last April, Carti succinctly explained the intention behind the possible Music title.
“ Music , because that’s all it is at this point,” he said at the time.

Will Beyoncé announce the 'Cowboy Carter' tour? Fans think she may be hitting the road again soon
- Beyoncé released her new album "Cowboy Carter" on Friday.
- Some fans think she's gearing up to tour again, though many say they don't have the funds to attend.
- The Renaissance World Tour wrapped last October in Kansas City. It was hailed as a must-see event.
Less than a year after the Renaissance World Tour wrapped, it might already be time for the Beyhive to dust off their boots and head back out to see Beyoncé live again.
The Renaissance World Tour was hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime event , a bona fide status symbol , and a blockbuster concert movie that awed audiences while near-singlehandedly boosting AMC's revenue . The 56-show run wrapped on October 1, 2023, in Kansas City.
On its heels, Beyoncé has released her new album " Cowboy Carter ." The triumphant country-inspired project is billed as "Act II" in a three-part "Renaissance" series.
So it would stand to reason — financially and thematically — that Beyoncé would plan another tour leg for "Cowboy Carter."
Her team seemed to hint that something is coming by launching a new website, " Been Country ." The landing page shows a photo of young Beyoncé performing at the Texas Sweetheart Pageant, as well as a childhood photo of her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson , and an image of a banjo.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Slayonce Avenue (@slayonce_avenue2)
A fan account on Instagram shared a rumor that the tour announcement is scheduled for Friday, exactly one week after the album's arrival. Knowles-Lawson liked the post, adding more fuel to the rumor's flame.
Beyoncé's longtime collaborator The-Dream, who produced 10 of the new album's 27 tracks, also alluded to a forthcoming tour. He celebrated the release of "Cowboy Carter" on X, writing, "This tour bout to B' Incredible!"

Fans grabbed screenshots of The-Dream's post, though it has since been deleted.

However, the six-month turnaround since Beyoncé's last concert does cast suspicion on these theories. Thanks to "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé," we know the Renaissance World Tour took four years to ideate and execute.
It's unclear if plans for a "Cowboy Carter" show were also in the works during that time, but if not, fans may have to wait a bit longer to watch Beyoncé perform. As she's already made clear, " A queen moves at her own pace ."
Even so, a delay may come as welcome news, even for dedicated members of the Beyhive.
Many fans have been posting about their lack of ticket funds on X, playfully begging Beyoncé to put off touring until next year.
