Indiana is home to one of the greatest events in sports and definitely “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”…the Indianapolis 500. For more than 100 years, drivers have rushed around the track and today, over 300,000 spectators flock to watch the event. If more world class sporting events are what you crave, then watch the Colts play at Lucas Oil Stadium or take a trip to Notre Dame and witness the field that Rudy played on as the stadium chanted his name.

If natural wonders are what you crave, follow in the footsteps of the two school kids that chased a rabbit and chanced upon the stalactites and stalagmites of Marengo Cave in southern Indiana.

Summer is especially lively along the Ohio River where residents dine and lounge the day away. After spending time with the locals you’ll understand why Hoosiers are known for being especially friendly. Before you know it, you’ll be laying down a blanket with some new friends and enjoying picnics, concerts and all kinds of festivals with a spectacular view of the water.
