Amazing holiday with great communication

Great communication all the way through by Agni travel. Couldn’t fault it. All questions answered and the villa was amazing. Support from the rep at the resort was fantastic. We loved every minute of our time in Skopelos and very much hope to return. We would use Agni travel again and we would definitely love to return to Villa Aloupi ❤️ thank you.

Highly recommended

Booking this villa was a simple and easy process from start to finish. The portal that I had access to once I had booked was full of important information and easy to navigate. My flight was delayed and it was really easy to communicate with Agni to arrange a late key collection. The villa was as described, no nasty surprises, no hidden costs. I would recommend Agni travel and would certainly let use them again

Here's a big middle finger to Agni

Agni canceled our villa holiday Didn't get a refund, and they re let our villa without our permission We claimed on our credit card Agni questioned it then realised they couldn't win. The credit card complaints team were on our side after I showed them screen grabs of Agni's laughable terms and conditions they agreed with us and Agni had our £3,000 clawed back out of their account and back into our bank account within 2 days So the middle finger up yours award goes to Agni travel We enjoyed spending our money guys :-) xx

Kefalonia Villa

I booked a villa in Kefalonia for 2021 but couldn't travel due to Covid lockdowns. I contacted Agni travel who were very accomodating and I moved the booking to 2022. We have not long returned from that holiday where we had a great time. We stayed in Villa Peach in Katelios which was as described. During the whole process Agni Travel were very profesional and answered evry query I had. I can't fault them. I will be using Agni Travel again.

Online chat with Agni Travel customer services

Today i spoke on the 'chat' twice with one of the customer service advisers about a Villa i was in the process of booking. He was very helpful indeed. I asked a few questions, and he promptly and very politely responded to each, he answered very clearly. My 1st reason for contact was to ask if they could amend my reservation hold, which was no issue at all, that was done immediately, which i subsequently confirmed by booking, my next reason, was to request a late check out as my flight was an early evening flight, it was no trouble at all. This was chargeable, but at a very reasonable cost. This will be my 2nd time booking with Agni Travel, and can honestly say, its a very smooth process

lovely holiday, great villa

We have just returned from a brilliant holiday at Sun Beach Villa. It is a lovely villa, spotlessly clean with everything we could possibly need. We arrived late at night and Andreas had very kindly left us a bottle of wine, juice, and water. All we could hear were the waves and cicadas. Perfect. Andreas cleaned the pool early every morning. The location is great, easy to walk to the beach and into Polis. Our 5-year-old grandson loved it there too. It is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. We will definitely stay here again.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

An excellent read! Thanks for much for sharing the Russian metro system with us. We're heading to Moscow in April and exploring the metro stations were on our list and after reading your post, I'm even more excited to go visit them. Thanks again 🙂

About the villa

‘Oneiro’ is Greek for ‘dream’, and this cheerful, colourful, character house certainly has the criteria for a dream holiday, in its views, its quiet but convenient location, and in the villa itself. With pastel décor and vibrant fabrics indoors, and outer walls colour-washed in warm burnt-orange, the house looks out over bright blossomed shrubs and olive grove slopes to the deep blue of the bay. In the foreground, a softly curved infinity pool is a cool splash of pale turquoise filling the lower terrace. In the distance are the heat-hazed mountains of Albania. And in-between, Avlaki’s pebble beach forms a broad crescent of seafront tavernas easily accessed just 1.3km from the villa. With air conditioning throughout, and exotic pieces from India and Morocco, Oneiro is both comfortably and creatively designed. Its welcoming living room and each of the three bedrooms open on to a terrace or balcony, and are complemented outdoors by a delightful dining veranda, and terraces sprinkled with seats, sofas and sun-loungers.

Slung like hammocks between St Stephano to the south and Kassiopi to the north, Avlaki and Coyevinas are two delightful shingle beaches within walking distance of both. Avlaki has a couple of nicely-sited tavernas. Coyevinas is just a tree-girt beach in a sheltered cove dotted with villas. Avlaki and Coyevinas holidays are quiet, close enough to the larger settlements for a greater choice of places to eat and, in Kassiopi, things to do.

Just wondering... Did you had a nice holiday?

Bas from Holland

Sad Service. Incompetence meets ignorance.

We were offered 4 different houses as alternatives. Two were obviously too small.

We agreed to the third one. Only to learn that ist was not available either.

So we agreed to the fourth one... which surprisingly was not available as well.

All the time we got the feeling to be a nuisance. There was absolutely no efford made to make the situation right.

Gladly we found a house with a different agency who actually made an efford to help us.

Having read through all the posts , there seems to be several Agni employees posting , ie only 1 post ever , poor grammer, extremely positive , almost gushing , very suss , I appreciate that some of these posts are old , also the posts seemed to be written like a review , unlike most posts on here , which are normally , almost conversational

Everything about this company is suspicious, don't trust them and certainly don't book with them. You will see from my old post, I had problems with them and in the end took them to court and won. Can't understand why they are still allowed to trade at all. Please, please don't book with them.

Dear Agni Travel,

I am writing you to formally complain in respect of our holiday referenced above.

We arrived at Las Salinas on Monday 8th July and later that evening noticed there appeared to be an issue with the water pressure.

For several days we had little water and for the majority of the time no water. Any water we did have was not enough for us to be able to wash or even brush our teeth in. The toilets wouldn’t flush and frankly it was a downright disgrace. I have to add that I was travelling with my two young children and my elderly parents.

Your property management company sent someone out on the second day as we also had a leak in the living room which turned out needed a lot of work to sort, but was unable to solve the water pressure concern.

The issue regarding the water pressure appears to be an area residential one and not unique to the property villa . Now we stayed at this exact villa last year and although the water pressure wasn’t the best it was certainly not like this and we always had water. Having spoken to some of the neighbours who are residents on the street they claim the water pressure has dramatically decreased over the last two months and that there has been countless phone calls to the utility company by them. Your property manager agreed that he was aware of the issue and it was down to the utility company to sort. This did not help our situation. Cue phone calls and text messages going back and forwards to your UK office. During one of the first phone conversations we were abruptly told “you aren’t getting compensation”. We never once mentioned or expected compensation, we actually just wanted to enjoy our holiday with running water and not have to spend it going backwards and forwards through phone calls and text messages.

There were eight of us staying in the villa with no water. I asked your company if they could as a one off provide us with a hotel room (nearby for one night) so we could all get showered and freshen up. Agni Travel declined and kept saying we had water when we didn’t. We were then told the owner of the villa was coming out within the hour to meet us so we duly stayed at the villa for most of the day. The owner did not turn up and your property manager then actually said that she was in China. We were repeatedly told to bear with you and that we had water when we didn’t (I have video evidence of this spanning the time we were there). Day 9 into our holiday and were contacted (after I kept texting) to say we could relocate to a villa south of Puerto Del Carmen . We declined this offer, for two reasons. One this was day 9 and to uproot everyone and move to somewhere we had never been with no transport to do so on a 2 week holiday, wasn’t going to work. Reason two was that we had chosen this Villa as we had personal commitments in Costa Teguise so we weren’t able to move. Up until this point we had all been reasonable and understanding and trying to work calmly with you.

It was then that I suggested to make life easier and cheaper for all parties, could Agni Travel could provide us with some large water supplies (approximately 3 euros) we could fill the cisterns and use the water to wash? Agni Travel again declined this simple request and said “unfortunately it is not possible to provide you with bottled water….there is a supermarket 300 metres away and you do not need a car to reach it”. This to be honest was our breaking point. We paid 3600 euros for this nonsense of a villa, tolerated no water and Agni travel could not even be bother to provide us with 3 euros worth of water. Now the supermarket is 300 metres away if you climb over other houses to get there. As it happens you have to walk round a loop and up a hill where the supermarket is located, about a 20 minute walk. You expected your paying guests to do this when the issue had absolutely nothing to do with us in the first place. There is nowhere on your advertisement that says there is ongoing problems with the water at Las Salinas, yet everyone apart from us was aware of this.

On day 12 two property maintenance persons arrived. Up until then your Agni Travel office in the UK kept saying we had water when we didn’t. They took their own videos of no water coming from taps etc and agreed the situation was terrible. They spoke to one of the neighbours who coincidentally was installing his own water tank in his back garden. You now have this evidence that we had no water.

As i have said above we were initially happy to work with the problem but your dismissive attitude has been disgusting. I was advised to email this formally to yourselves on one of the latter text messages. I have also contacted ABTA and will be pursuing the legal route. All of which could have been avoided if you had just, as a gesture provided us with water at a cost of 3 euros.

I have video evidence if you would like me to forward this to you. I also have the text messages saved and my call logs to prove what an ongoing battle this was.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course. Please let me know if you require any further information.

ring your local trading standard office give them any required paperwork and evidence they ask for and see what they say. They will advise you and may take up your case for you and visit their office. Secondly as they have offices in the UK it can be taken to the small claims court and if you get a positive result and they don't pay up bailiffs will sort them out.
