Album Cover

The " Wiggly Safari " album was released on February 4, 2002 featuring 32 tracks.

CD-only Songs [ ]

  • The Wiggle Owl Medley
  • This video marks the first appearance of Captain Feathersword 's wetsuit.
  • This video also marks the first appearance of The Wiggles' Argentina Styled Clothing .
  • During " Koala La La ", Greg is playing Murray's red Maton EM225C acoustic guitar although there is no guitar in the soundtrack.
  • " Butterflies Flit " was originally sung by Greg on the Yummy Yummy album. This version has Dorothy singing.
  • This is the first Wiggles video in North America with photoshoots exclusive to that territory's release.
  • The first video about animals followed by Go Bananas and Furry Tales .
  • The first video overall to credit the special thanks to all at HIT Entertainment in the USA, which was credited from this video until 2006's Racing to the Rainbow .
  • The first Wiggles video in North America to have a trailer of Angelina Ballerina.
  • The concert footage in this video was filmed at the Vodafone Arena during the December 2001 tour. Clips can also be seen in the TV documentary The Wiggles Take on the World .
  • At the beginning of this video, The Wiggles were lost in the Big Red Car . This was similar to The Wiggles Movie when The Wiggles lost and found themselves on Brrrrrr Street .
  • This is the third non-concert Wiggles video to have footage from one of The Wiggles ' concert tours, the first was Wake Up Jeff! with the footage from the Big Red Car Tour at the Lea Theatre and the second was Wiggle Time! with footage from The Wiggles Big Show at the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Centre . However, those two videos had the concert footage come at the end as a sort of bonus, whereas the concert footage appeared during this video. The live audio is also not used, instead it's dubbed over with the album tracks.
  • This is the first non-concert Wiggles video to be filmed on location instead of in-studio, the second was Wiggle Bay , and the third was Cold Spaghetti Western . This video was filmed at Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Queensland, Sea World in Gold Coast, Queensland, and Vodafone Arena in Melbourne, Victoria.
  • Before the credits are over, there is a dedication to the memory of FDNY's Brian Cannizzaro , and everybody else who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Special thanks go to Engine 202, Ladder 101, Battalion 42. Posing with the firefighters are The Wiggles , Paul Paddick , and Steve Irwin wearing FDNY T-shirts.
  • The back cover song list order for the American and UK DVDs & the American VHS is not the same order in the video.
  • This is the final Wiggles video where Reem Hanwell plays Henry the Octopus .
  • This is the first collaboration video, with a co-producer (The Best Picture Show Company) and a group of guest stars appearing throughout (the Irwin family), followed by The Wiggles' Big Ballet Day! , co-produced with The Australian Ballet and featuring some of its dancers. Similarly, Yummy Yummy previously featured Paul Hester as a guest throughout.
  • The 1997-2001 outfit is used during the prologues of Swim With Me and Kookaburra Choir where Anthony gets wet. (This 2001-2007 outfit is done so the outfit would not get damaged by the water).
  • During " The Crocodile Hunter ", Murray is not wearing his Wiggles belt buckle. This is fixed later in the video.
  • In the prologue of " Wobbly Camel ", the Big Red Car wouldn't start. This part is similar to Toot Toot! because in that video, the same thing happened.
  • According to a bonus clip of The Wiggles' Big Birthday! , Steve Irwin 's son Robert Irwin suggested that The Wiggles should make a sequel called "Wiggly Safari 2".
  • The Big Red Car in this video is the same one that was used in The Wiggles Movie , but it lacks the windshield and now has The Wiggles Logo on the front bonnet.
  • This is the first Wiggles video where The Wiggles ' skivvies have turtlenecks, and pants with trimming of the speciffic color, however, the 1997-era skivvies were still used for photo shoots before filming this video, and one was used for the intros of Swim With Me and Kookaburra Choir , most likely out of fear of damaging Anthony's new skivvy.
  • The UK Main menu is a bit different from the Australian and American one. It has an extra option for trailers called "Coming Soon!" and The Wiggles Logo is pushed down a bit to make room for it.
  • During the scene at the beginning where The Wiggles drive in the bush, the instrumental version of " We Like To Say Hello " can be heard.
  • This video was the last time that The Wiggles were credited for writing Cocky Want A Cracker . Before "Wiggly Safari" was released in Australia, the song has been credited to only Steve Irwin and Paul Paddick .
  • The cover was shown in an Instagram post by The Wiggles posting on May 9, 2018, being their take on the " Avengers: Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history" meme.
  • Although listed in the credits, The Wiggles ' backing vocals are not heard in any of the songs.
  • This video was filmed in 2 well-known parts of Queensland Australia, one, Australia Zoo in Beerwah, and the other, SeaWorld on the Gold Coast.
  • " Butterflies Flit " makes its video debut after Greg sang it on the Yummy Yummy album .
  • Compared to the other Dorothy voices, Jacqueline's Dorothy voice is noticeably much deeper and her giggle is more fluttery than usual.
  • The Hong Kong DVD release does not contain any menus or special features, but it strangely has the ABC Video logo at the end.
  • On the US/Canada DVD release, it does not show the HIT Entertainment logo at the end like on the VHS release.
  • On October 17th 2020, the full video was uploaded on The Wiggles ' YouTube channel as part of Classic Wiggles .
  • The footage of Steve Irwin was later used in Duets for the new version of The Crocodile Hunter .
  • This is the first Wiggles video in which Anthony has black hair.
  • The Wiggly Big Show , Wake Up Jeff! , Big Red Car
  • The Dorothy the Dinosaur and Friends Video , Captain Feathersword the Friendly Pirate , Hoop-Dee-Doo it's a Wiggly Party
  • The first time Captain Feathersword plays Murray's red Maton acoustic guitar. The next time was Apples & Bananas .
  • During the song The Crocodile Hunter , when Steve Irwin sang "Crikey, it's a croc with razor sharp teeth!" it sounded different on the video version than on the album version
  • During the song Old Man Emu , when Steve Irwin said "If you take a look, it'll prove to you I can run the pants off a kangaroo" and "You silly galah I'm better by far than a white cockatoo or a budgerigar. They squeak and squawk and try to talk. Why me and them's like cheese and chalk." his lines were slightly different on the video version than on the album version
  • This is the first Wiggles video featuring The Wiggly Dancers with them wearing red coats.
  • This is the only animal video to be released on VHS.
  • The Warner Home Video re-releases of this, Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins! , and Wiggly, Wiggly World do not resemble the Australian cover counterparts.
  • This was the last Wiggles non-concert video to be filmed in 4:3 full screen.
  • Wags and Henry don't speak in this video.
  • The warning and rating screens are removed from the later AUS DVD release
  • On the front of the Australian DVD, there is a copy of Anthony's hand.
  • The Wiggles Logo was removed from the spine in the AUS DVD.
  • On the Hong Kong DVD cover The Wiggles Logo is cut off on the top right corner.
  • The back cover of the US DVD says there are US & Australian trailers in the special features, but there aren't any.
  • The UK DVD back cover listed 16:9 as the aspect ratio, when it was actually 4:3.
